Future Proofing The Office Design Layout

Making the most of office space is critical at the best of times, but when the office is in a home or in a historic old building and space is limited, then careful consideration has to be number one.  The added problem with a historic building is probably that it’s listed and cannot have any form of alteration without vast acres of paperwork and red tape.  The design of an office layout has to include all the furniture that is needed right now plus an allowance for being able to move replace stuff or change of use in a year or so’s time.  The builky old designs of the 1950s and 1960s are no longer appropriate, the luscious old walnut desks may be gorgeous to look at and sit behind, but in this day and age, they are not mobile enough for every day use and moving one would take an army of chaps and chapesses.
