Taking a new perspective on designing gardens and landscapes as a more complex discipline, combining ecology and high aesthetic principles distinguishes Tomaz's approach and style. Bringing gardens and landscapes back to the principles of nature as the most important factor, yet retaining a balance of bold aesthetically expression and functionality is his key moto while designing.
Tomaz Bavdez studied at then called London School of Garden Design, Caper Manor College and at the School of Design, Writtle College. Currently he is in his final year of MSc Habitat Creation and Management. Tomaz obtained qualifications that enables him to design in any style and to project manage various outer spaces from small city gardens to large country gardens and public spaces. Tomaz was brought up in Slovenia amongst rich and diverse social, cultural and natural contexts of the Alps, Mediterranean and Central Europe. This combined with studying and living in the UK enriched his design ability and vision.
In an age of design evolution and exploration, Tomaz creates various garden design concepts that can be sometimes classified as artworks. To implement his garden design approach and philosophy he is currently exploring a design-environmental project named metahabitats.
